Description
Working on scaffolds can be dangerous, but it does not need to be. Take this course to learn about the hazards that are common to all scaffolds and the hazards that are unique to certain types of scaffolds. You will learn how scaffold design and work practices can make your work safer. This course is ideal for employees who work on or around scaffolds as well as their managers.

- Identify types of scaffolds and their associated characteristics
- Recognize the general hazards associated with scaffolds
- Recall the role of the competent person as it relates to scaffolding
- Describe how scaffolds are made safe by design, during assembly and through proper use and maintenance
- Recall safety strategies, protective measures and employer requirements associated with scaffolds
- Recognize when scaffold work conditions are unsafe
- Determine what to do if you recognize potentially unsafe scaffold conditions
