Description
This course addresses the manager’s responsibilities for health and safety management in the workplace. These duties include training, job hazard analysis, emergencies, accident investigation, recordkeeping, and reporting, enforcement of safe work practices, promoting a culture of safety, and complying with OSHA regulations, including OSHA inspections and retaliation prohibitions.
Objectives
- Identify workplace hazards and conduct a job hazard analysis
- Characterize the three types of hazard controls
- Explore how to use an OSHA 300 log to record injuries and illnesses
- Conduct an accident investigation
- Indicate what information to include in an accident investigation report
- Implement multiple approaches to promote a culture of safety
- Examine how to respond in the event of an unannounced OSHA inspection
