This course educates employees in minimizing their possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens, particularly Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hemoglobin C (HbC), and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV). You'll learn about the primary means of transmission of these infected body fluids, along with the ways you can prevent infection. We discuss the three key defenses against transmission and also present the steps you should take if you are exposed in any way to a bloodborne pathogen. This course offers information on protecting yourself from exposure to bloodborne pathogens in the workplace. It also includes tips on wearing protective devices to minimize possible exposure.
