The elearning course, The Science of Sleep, provides an overview of the role of sleep in our everyday lives and at work. You'll learn about REM, or rapid eye movement, and the four stages of non-REM sleep. Understanding these cycles, and how your body changes during each interval, may impact the value you place on sleep, helping you to recognize the tremendous benefits you receive by getting a good night’s slumber. This course also dispels common misconceptions about sleep and highlights the dangers of sleep deprivation on your overall health. Part of the series called The Science of Sleep, this course includes a video lesson, downloadable student materials and a short online quiz to check your comprehension of the course.
