Description
This course is designed to help construction workers learn the hazards associated with electricity, help them to identify common construction electrical hazards, and learn proper control measures to protect themselves and others. At the end of the course, workers explore an interactive mini-game, where they piece together the events leading up to an accident caused by an electrical hazard.
Objectives
- Describe the different types of injuries associated with electricity
- Identify a number of electrical hazards typically found on construction sites
- Recall how to take proper protective measures when using electrical equipment
- Describe how GFCI works and where its use is required
